Funeral Pre-Need Sales Specialist
Job Summary
This role supports families in planning and funding funeral arrangements in advance through life insurance and other available funding options. The position may also assist with the selection of memorial property and merchandise.
The individual is responsible for delivering professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable service to client families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultative guidance to families on pre-planning funeral arrangements
- Generate and follow up on sales leads (self-generated and company-provided)
- Conduct seminars and community outreach to educate and drive new business
- Convert leads into pre-need sales opportunities
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets
- Maintain availability during business hours for walk-in clients and immediate needs
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external community partners (e.g., healthcare providers, community organizations)
- Stay informed on product offerings, pricing, and compliance requirements
- Utilize company tools and resources to drive sales performance
- Support aftercare programs and community engagement efforts
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior sales experience preferred (insurance, healthcare, or service-based industries a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with sensitivity in emotionally driven situations
- Organized with strong time management skills
- Comfortable working in a goal-driven, performance-based environment
- Basic computer proficiency
Licensing Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain the required state insurance license
- Additional licensure may be required depending on the location
- Valid driver’s license required

Compensation
- Total Compensation Average: $108K
- Top Performers are doing up to $140K
- Total Compensation Range: $75-140K
