Job Details:
\n
• Work in 18-bed ICU with 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per contract)
\n• Float to Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Tele, and IMC units as needed
\n• 72 hours of orientation provided
\n• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
\n• 2 years of ICU experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Experience with Cerner charting system required
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including COVID, multisystem organ failure, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, sepsis, CVA/seizures, STEMI/NSTEMI, and DKA
\n• Work with specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, targeted temperature management, Swan Ganz, and temporary pacemakers
\n• Skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and blood product administration
\n• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
\n• Self-scheduling system
\n• Must have compact license or Maryland license
\n• Two supervisor references required

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 18-bed intensive care unit providing critical care services to adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized interpretation services. The ICU is equipped with advanced technology and monitoring systems to support critically ill patients with complex medical conditions requiring intensive monitoring and specialized interventions.
