We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our construction business. Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently.
• Prepare and submit monthly billing, including AIA billing and lien releases.
• Oversee payroll processing for a small team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements to maintain financial accuracy.
• Draft proposals and assist in tracking project progress, permits, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with external CPA firms to make necessary accounting adjustments.
• Handle HR-related tasks such as onboarding, drug screenings, and vacation tracking.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and prepare financial reports as needed.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Familiarity with construction-specific billing practices such as AIA billing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external partners.
• Initiative and problem-solving abilities to address challenges independently.
