Vito's Italian Restaurant in Saint Johns, FL is seeking a reliable and motivated Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at our Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate has prior kitchen experience (Italian cuisine preferred), a strong work ethic, and dependable transportation. This is a full-time position focused on dinner service only.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, portioning, and organizing stations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef and assist where needed
• Help with closing duties, including cleaning and restocking

Requirements:

• Prior line or prep cook experience (Italian restaurant experience a plus)
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
• Must have reliable transportation
• Available to work evenings Tuesday through Sunday
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
