Account Manager (Customer Service) - Elgin, IL
$50,000 - $55,000/annually Plus Benefits

We are a well-known supplier with superior products sold globally. Due to expansion, we are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our team. Throughout our years of growth and change, we have kept true to our dedication to quality and service for our customers. We are extremely passionate about our products and it shows in every market we serve.

The Account Manager will provide a high level of customer satisfaction to a list of dedicated accounts and support our sales team. Our ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, and an outgoing personality to match our culture. We need someone who can build relationships with their assigned long-term accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Build long lasting relationships with dedicated accounts and look out for customer and company’s best interests
  • Professionally handle incoming requests via phone and email from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly
  • Efficiently gather customer information, assess and fulfill customer needs regarding their projects, and document interactions in the ERP system
  • Receive, review, and enter/process customer orders
  • Let customers know when orders will ship
  • Maintain status reports on all customer projects
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience
  • Demonstrate teamwork through sharing of best practices and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maximize company success
  • Communicate customer feedback to company management as needed
  • Strive for and maintain a high level of integrity, commitment, and trust

Job Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in customer service
  • Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company’s needs
  • Ability to work successfully in both an individual and team setting
  • Outgoing and personable individual with a self-starter mentality
  • Above average skills within Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
