LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a large, fast paced Distribution/Manufacturing company in the Bay Shore, NY area.
This is a Full Time, In Office Daily role.
830am-5pm.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with a focus on accounts payable, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting the accounting department with various projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately match purchase orders with invoices and ensure proper documentation.

Obtain necessary approvals for all outgoing payments.

Apply appropriate general ledger coding to all transactions.

Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly and professionally.

Maintain organized and up-to-date hard copy files for audit and compliance purposes.

Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the finance team.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable.

College degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to download and manipulate large datasets.

Comfortable learning and using accounting software systems.

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

High attention to detail, ability to manage high-volume workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
