An Outside Sales Representative's job is to sell products or services to clients by meeting them in person, which involves extensive travel and in-depth product knowledge. Key responsibilities include identifying new customers, nurturing relationships with existing clients, preparing sales pitches and product demonstrations, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales quotas. Success in this field requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and analyze market trends. On Target Earnings are $74,500 annually, including commission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and foster trust.
  • Product Knowledge and Presentations:
    Develop a deep understanding of the products or services sold and deliver effective presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Travel and Meetings:
    Travel to meet with clients at their locations, attend trade shows, and participate in networking events.
  • Sales Target Achievement:
    Meet or exceed established sales targets and quotas for turnover and profit.
  • Reporting and Administration:
    Track client interactions and sales progress by updating CRM systems and writing reports.
  • Negotiation and Problem-Solving:
    Negotiate contract terms and resolve client issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Generation and Sales:
    Identify potential customers, generate new sales leads, and close deals through face-to-face interactions.
