Part-Time to Full time Pediatric Occupational Therapist Opportunity
- Location: Los Angeles Area – Clinic (Brentwood), In-Home, and School-Based Services
- Focus: Evaluations, screenings, and therapy for children aged 0-5 years, including those with behavioral challenges
Who We’re Looking For:
Vida Kids Therapy (VKT) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment plans, and direct therapy to support children in achieving critical developmental milestones. We are especially looking for therapists with experience working with children exhibiting behavioral challenges.

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct developmental evaluations and screenings for children aged 0-5 years.
- Assess motor, sensory, adaptive, cognitive, and behavioral skills using standardized tools such as DAYC-2, Peabody, and HELP.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions in the clinic, in-home, and school settings, focusing on fine motor development, sensory integration, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills.
- Work closely with families, educators, and caregivers to implement effective therapy strategies into daily routines.
- Utilize play-based, sensory, and behavioral approaches to support children with challenging behaviors.
- Accurately document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date on advancements in pediatric occupational therapy, with a focus on behaviorally informed interventions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current California OT license (required).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year working with children, preferably those with behavioral challenges. Experience in clinic, home, or school-based therapy is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in standardized developmental assessments and behavioral strategies for early childhood intervention.
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
