Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a virtual setting for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract role involves collaborative work to provide individualized instruction and behavioral supports tailored to students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with New Hampshire state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) utilizing NHSEIS, the states data management system.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers through platforms such as Canvas and Zoom to facilitate student learning and support.
- Utilize data analytics and behavior-tracking tools like Panorama to evaluate student progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain adherence to IDEA and New Hampshire special education laws, adapting service delivery to meet virtual environment requirements.
- Conduct behavioral observations and prepare comprehensive reports on student learning and conduct.
- Work closely with administrators and school teams to foster a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Must hold all required New Hampshire state certifications for special education.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual special education case manager is essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of individual student needs related to abilities, personality, and motivation.
- Strong skills in providing positive behavioral interventions both individually and in group settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proficient written and verbal communication in English.
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Contract Duration: January 5, 2025, through June 12, 2026 (tentative)
