Key Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry work.
- Perform commercial framing using wood or metal studs for walls, ceilings, and partitions.
- Install doors, hardware, windows, casework, millwork, and interior finish components.
- Lay out and install drop ceilings, drywall framing, and acoustical ceiling systems.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using both hand and power tools.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites; follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times.
- Collaborate with project leads, subcontractors, and other trades to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Report issues or delays promptly and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial carpentry (typically 3+ years preferred).
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Tools: Skilled use of hand tools and power tools common to carpentry.
- Safety Mindset: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
- Teamwork: Works well independently and as part of a construction team.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting, standing, bending, climbing ladders, and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
