As we expand our footprint in the protein-based distribution space, this newly created role is mission-critical. You’ll own the entire 2nd shift, stepping in right after our 1st shift wraps. From staffing to systems to workflow, you’ll have the autonomy to structure operations your way—with the backing of a leadership team that wants results. The 2nd Shift Distribution Manager will play a key role in building out SOPs, improving flow, and ensuring accountability on the ground during our busiest hours.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of the 2nd shift—people, process, performance, and pace
- Oversee all warehouse functions on shift, including receiving, picking, staging, and shipping
- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to coordinate dispatching, routing, and outbound logistics
- Implement and improve SOPs, streamline shift flow, and introduce structure to nightly operations
- Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and throughput
- Ensure compliance with food safety and cold storage handling standards
- Monitor shift metrics and report performance to leadership
- Provide real-time coaching and accountability across the floor
- Partner with other departments to ensure seamless shift transitions and communication
What You Bring
- BS degree is required, ideally in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or operations environment – any industry
- Experience in cold storage, food, or protein-based environments preferred
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems, plus MS Office proficiency
- Proven track record of building structure, organizing workflow, and leading through change
- Hands-on, decisive leadership style—comfortable in fast-paced environments
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
