We’re growing and excited to welcome a part-time W2 Speech Language Pathologist who loves working with children, values a positive team culture, and wants flexibility with room to grow.

Role Description

This is a part-time Speech Language Pathologist role based in Encinitas, CA. Services are provided across a small, local area and include:

• Our cozy Encinitas clinic
• Client homes
• Private preschools/schools in Encinitas, La Costa, South Carlsbad and Cardiff by the Sea.

The position starts at approximately 5–10 hours per week, with opportunities to gradually build your caseload at a comfortable pace, and may grow into a larger or full-time role if desired. Saturday sessions are available for clinicians who prefer weekend hours.

You will provide 1:1 pediatric speech and language therapy services, including assessment, treatment, and individualized care planning for children with a wide range of communication needs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining progress documentation and collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and school staff to support meaningful progress.

Caseload includes:

Early Intervention (0–3), preschool, and early elementary-aged children.

Compensation:

This is a W2, fee-for-service position with competitive rates and additional paid time.

Session Rates:

• $70 per 45-minute clinic session
• $91 per 45-50 min in-home session
• $46 per 30-minute clinic session

Additional Compensation Includes:

• Additional compensation at $20/hr for non-direct time
• Mileage reimbursement
• Paid sick leave (24 hours per year), in accordance with California law.

For reference only: a full-time caseload (30+ hours/week) typically equates to an annualized range of approximately $95,000–$105,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Pediatric experience preferred (at least 1 year ideal, but open to the right fit)
• Kind, energetic, and child-centered clinical style
• Strong communication and parent coaching skills
• Comfortable providing therapy in a clinic, home, and private school settings
• Reliable transportation for local travel
• Knowledge and experience treating a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt interventions to each child
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with families and team members
