Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to support students with significant behavioral and physical challenges in a school setting in Burnsville, MN. This contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise working closely with students who have severe disabilities, contributing to impactful behavioral interventions and support plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of approximately 8 classrooms, supporting 40-45 students.
- Providing behavior assessments such as Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Conducting ongoing data collection, documentation, and thorough paperwork.
- Facilitating debriefings and collaborating with educators and multidisciplinary teams.
- Working within a Setting 4 environment focused on students with severe behavioral and physical disabilities.
- Operating primarily out of one building, covering both South and North Education Centers.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Certification as a BCBA or experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges.
- Strong skills in conducting assessments, interpreting data, and developing behavior plans.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.
- Flexibility and patience to manage a complex caseload in a specialized educational environment.
