Job Description
KRG is seeking an HR Assistant for a professional services firm in Syracuse, NY to support their growing HR team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in employee onboarding, HR operations, and day-to-day coordination within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle onboarding processes, including offer letter preparation, orientation scheduling, and new hire documentation
- Coordinate pre-employment activities such as background checks, conflict checks, and I-9 compliance
- Prepare and manage employee status change communications and maintain accurate HR records
- Assist with offboarding processes including exit documentation and personnel file closeout
- Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and leadership
- Maintain and update HR files, systems, and documentation in compliance with firm policies
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and managing communications
- Interact regularly with employees and leadership via phone, email, and in person
- Support HR initiatives and projects as needed in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary between $55,000 - $65,000 annually (DOE)

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime during peak periods
