Florida-based aluminium extrusion plant is actively seeking a Bilingual (Spanish<>English) Paintline Manager for our production plant. We are offering a relocation package for this position if necessary.
Starting annual compensation for this position, depending on experience and skill set, is $100,000 - $130,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
The Paintline Management role is responsible for leading the finishing operations to achieve or exceed production goals related to throughput, efficiency, cost, downtime, and quality. The position also oversees staffing, safety compliance, continuous improvement, and budget management to support a high-performance, results-driven manufacturing environment.
Scope of primary responsibilities:
- Lead the department in meeting or exceeding production goals, including throughput, efficiency, cost, downtime, and quality.
- Manage all aspects of the finishing operations, including pretreatment, manual/automatic spraying, curing, and air drying.
- Oversee hiring, employee relations, training, and development to build and maintain an effective workforce.
- Champion a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Direct production planning and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency.
Other responsibilities include:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools.
- Develop, manage, and report on operational and capital budgets to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and external vendors to ensure equipment reliability, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in production or operations management.
- Hands-on experience with vertical or horizontal electrostatic bell or disk finishing systems.
- Working knowledge of painting and finishing chemistry.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams and build a positive, accountable culture.
- Experience managing and controlling operating costs.
- Solid understanding of OSHA and environmental compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Additional desired qualifications, but not required:
- Experience in pretreatment and E-coat operations.
- Background in building products or a similar manufacturing industry.
- Experience in aluminum extrusion manufacturing.
