Job Description
We are seeking skilled Flux Core Welders to join our team. Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams and pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test. The role requires contractors to perform tasks such as layout, positioning, aligning, fitting, clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding, or bolting component parts to achieve the required preparation, configuration, and position for welding. Welding in both vertical and horizontal positions is essential.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams.
- Pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test.
- Perform layout, position, align, fit, clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts.
- Handle materials using hand, overhead crane, forklift, or other handling equipment.
- Operate various types of welding equipment using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and submerged arc welding.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience in 2G and 3G FCAW welding tests.
- Ability to weld in vertical and horizontal positions.
- Experience in stainless steel, flux core welding, and fitting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb, and carry various materials/equipment.

Work Environment
Candidates will train on the first shift (7am-3:30pm) before transitioning to the second (2pm-10:30pm) or third shift (10pm-6:30am) as needed. The work environment is unionized, and shift assignments are typically determined by seniority. You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with some overtime available. The training period involves a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

This is a Permanent position based out of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63003.00 - $70000.00/yr.
This is a Union environment that offers a high starting pay rate, and Four different health plans through Highmark. Dental and vision offered as well. 401k plan up to 5% match.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Turtle Creek,PA.
