Our Expectations:
This is both an “accounting” job and a “people” job. As our Accounting Team Leader/Controller, you will use your accounting expertise to oversee all aspects of our financial accounting and finances, AND you will use your “people” skills to manage our small, mostly remote, admin team of approximately eight people. The combination of those skills should ensure strong accounting processes, timely and accurate financial reporting and analyses, compliance with governmental requirements, and a culture of excellence and C.A.R.E. within our admin team. Some examples of job expectations:
- Exemplify and support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Security Central.
- Model servant leadership to your team and others inside and outside of the company.
- Facilitate regular team huddles to align activities, identify obstacles, build team cohesion, and deliver excellent results.
- Perform monthly one-on-one meetings with each team member.
- Oversee financial activities such as daily invoicing, AP/AR, payroll, weekly and monthly financial reporting, and more.
- Build and maintain a culture of trust, accountability, teamwork, performance, and fun within our admin team of in-person and foreign, remote team members.
- Contribute information, ideas, questions, commitments, and results to the company leadership.
- Exhibit an ownership mentality in leading your team.
- Set the standards for your team by modeling great organization, follow-through, performance, and attitude.
- Provide guidance, training, coaching, encouragement, and support of the Admin team.
Our Requirements:
At least five years experience with financial accounting and leading small teams is required. In addition to those professional requirements, we only hire people with exemplary character, strong values, humble hearts, and sharp minds.
Our Compensation:
Compensation is $50 - $60/hr. depending on experience.
