We are seeking a Purchasing Analyst to support manufacturing operations through a strong focus on data reporting and analytics (50%), along with purchasing execution (25%) and inventory control (25%). This role is highly analytical and plays a key part in improving visibility, accuracy, and overall purchasing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Data Reporting & Analytics (50%)
- Develop, automate, and maintain purchasing and inventory reports
- Create “what-if” analysis to support forecasting and decision-making
- Perform cost analysis and generate actionable insights
- Implement and manage vendor scorecards
- Support corporate reporting requests
- Use MS Excel, MS Access, and ERP systems for data analysis and reporting
Purchasing (25%)
- Review MRP requirements and place Purchase Orders to support manufacturing
- Maintain purchasing practices, policies, and procedures
- Develop and manage vendor relationships
- Initiate sourcing activities to support Engineering and Manufacturing
- Negotiate blanket orders and contracts
- Issue and monitor supplier corrective actions for delivery or quality issues
Inventory Control (25%)
- Validate physical inventory against ERP/system records
- Establish and monitor inventory control practices and cycle counting
- Track inventory metrics to improve accuracy
- Monitor inventory levels to meet forecasted production demand
Required
- Proficient in MS Excel and Access (data queries, analysis, reporting)
- Strong analytical and statistical skills to create and present meaningful insights
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred
- Basic purchasing knowledge/experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP (material requirements planning) processes
- Database certifications
- Advanced Excel (Macros), and SQL knowledge
