- Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Rotating Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Shift: Day Shift
Employment Type: Contract
Work Setting: 100% Onsite
Compensation
- Travelers: $35 – $37 per hour
- Local Candidates: $30 – $32 per hour
Job Overview
The LPN/LVN provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. This role involves supporting physicians and clinical staff, performing patient care procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to positive patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Administer medications and injections as ordered
- Perform EKGs, nasopharyngeal swabs, blood pressure checks, and ear flushes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care activities
- Float to other units or clinics as required
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Follow infection control and patient safety guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Active New York LPN/LVN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of LPN/LVN experience required
- Ambulatory care experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with injections, EKGs, nasopharyngeal swabs, BP monitoring, and ear flushes
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, flexible, and adaptable team player
Additional Information
- 13-week contract assignment (40 hours per week)
- Day shift, Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays
- Floating required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted at adjusted pay rate
- Candidates within 75 miles are not eligible for travel rate
- Pre-start modules required (up to 5 hours, billable)
- EPIC experience and active NY license required prior to submission
- Immediate start available
