Short Description
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong OB-GYN experience to support ambulatory patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ambulatory care experience is preferred.
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in an ambulatory clinical setting while utilizing strong nursing assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience, preferably within OB-GYN, and the ability to work with minimal orientation and supervision.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively support patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in an ambulatory and OB-GYN clinical setting
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Administer treatments, medications, and patient care procedures as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Utilize sound clinical judgment in acute care patient situations
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and clinical protocols
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license/registration
- Current BLS Certification and ability to maintain certification
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care nursing experience within the past 2 years
- Required OB-GYN experience
- Experience working in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Ambulatory care experience
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records
- Level 1 Trauma hospital experience highly desired
