Scranton Craftsmen is currently seeking a motivated individual to produce submittal and shop drawings for our own manufacturing process. We produce misc. steel fabricated products such as staircases, railings, balconies, and light structural. We also manufacture precast concrete products that require design take off, shop and submittal drawings. Conversion of simple hand design to submittal ready.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Use CAD software to create accurate detailed drawings.
• Prepare drawings of components, parts and assemblies; ability to sketch by hand.
• Prepare drawings from engineering sketches, specifications, verbal direction, and supporting documents;
layout the system, components and parts; identify dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials in 2- and 3-D drawings.
• Modifies drawings by studying changes, redrawing system, components and parts, changing identifications, and files drawings appropriately.
• Prepares detailed parts listing for manufacturing and fabrication.
• Resolve discrepancies through analysis, conferring with engineers, employees and customers, and from
field measurements.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to sketch by hand and render in CAD.
• Must have computer AutoCAD 2-D, 3-D and drafting experience.
• Experience with MS Office products, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Work independently, on a team, and be a self-thinking problem solver.
• Must be punctual and have good work ethic.
• Interaction with customers and fabrication team.
