Job DescriptionSalary:
We are Consolidated Cooperative, a cooperative located in central Ohio providing electric, fiber, and gas services to our members / consumers. We are seeking a proactive Economic Development Executive to help our team, our cooperative, and our communities thrive. Priorities for this position include:
- Developing and cultivating relationships with business and industrial Cooperative members (key accounts).
- Engaging with key accounts to keep them informed of rate changes, policy adjustments, service modifications, and other potential business impacts.
- Implementing business development, recruitment, and retention strategies and objectives in coordination with internal and external team members to achieve optimal electric, fiber, and gas sales.
- Working with area leaders in attracting new business and seeking economic development loans, including promotion of the Revolving Loan Fund.
- Coordinating key account and community relation initiatives.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Consolidated rate schedules, tariffs, marketing programs, and high-demand notification procedures for all services.
- Staying informed on regional planning commission decisions, municipal annexations, current events, and developments that may impact business development, key accounts, Consolidated, or the utility industry.

Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; A Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited college or university in economic development, business administration, marketing, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Four years of experience in economic development and / or marketing capacity desired. Knowledge of economic and business development principles required. Key accounts certification or CDIA certification preferred.
- Flexibility to attend meetings outside of standard working hours.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to write in a professional manner.
- Capable of making full use of available tools and technologies.
- Effective communication, organization, planning, and leadership skills.
- Accuracy, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, and confidentiality.
- Aptitude to fulfill all the competencies for the position (Diplomacy / Economic Development / Issues Management / Job Knowledge / Planning, Coordination, & Organization / Sales & Marketing / Relationship Management / Service Delivery).

Must be able to work from either our Mount Gilead or Delaware, OH offices, with a primary base in Delaware. Upon successful completion of a structured training program and demonstration of the ability to work independently, there may be an opportunity to transition to a hybrid work schedule.
