Position Overview
The Sales Consultant role will work directly with clients to identify their insurance needs and recommend tailored coverage solutions, including life, health, and supplemental insurance products. The role requires a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic who is committed to helping clients protect what matters most to them. The Consultant must value integrity, accountability, and teamwork and be able to thrive in a performance-based environment.
This is a W2 position offering base compensation plus performance-based commissions, structured training, and advancement opportunities within a growing agency.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and qualify new leads through referrals, outreach, and marketing campaigns
Meet with clients (virtually or in person) to assess insurance needs
Present and explain insurance products, including life, health, and supplemental coverage
Customize policies to align with client financial goals and risk tolerance
Close new business and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
Maintain accurate client records and track activity using CRM systems
Provide ongoing client support, policy reviews, and relationship management
Stay informed on insurance products, industry regulations, and compliance standards
Collaborate with team members and leadership to improve sales strategies
Qualifications
Previous sales experience required; insurance or financial services experience preferred
Active insurance license (Life & Health)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Self-motivated with a goal-oriented and competitive mindset
Ability to build trust and long-term client relationships
Proficiency with CRM systems and basic technology tools
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred
