Now Hiring: Groomer at The Dog Patch – Join Our Family!

Compensation: $35,000 – $75,000 per year (Commission-Based + Tips + PTO)
At The Dog Patch, we’re more than just a pet resort—we’re a family-owned and operated business with a passion for dogs and the people who love them. Our current groomer, who has been an amazing part of our family for over 3 years, is relocating for family reasons. Now, we’re looking for another caring, talented professional to join our tight-knit team and carry on her legacy of compassion and excellence.
✂️ About the Position
We’re seeking an experienced Dog Groomer/Stylist who is patient, kind, and loves dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. You’ll be joining a supportive team of 14 staff members in a busy, upbeat environment where we value teamwork, respect, and personalized care.
You’ll work alongside our front desk staff, who handle appointments and client communications, allowing you to focus on what you do best—making pups look and feel their best!
Responsibilities

Groom and style pets according to breed standards or client requests

Recommend humane solutions for coat issues (e.g., shave downs vs. de-matting)

Communicate with front desk about any additional charges or timing updates

Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area (bath area, tools, tubs, etc.)

Manage your grooming schedule to meet pick-up times or notify clients of changes

Work 1–2 Saturdays per month
Qualifications
-
Graduate of a grooming school or equivalent professional experience

2+ years grooming experience preferred

Confident handling dogs humanely and safely

Self-motivated, organized, and dependable

Capable of grooming 6–7 dogs per day ("power groomer" pace)

Positive attitude and strong communication with clients and team

Proven ability to grow and retain a loyal client base
