Senior Helpers of Northeast Wisconsin is seeking a motivated and personable Recruiting & Hiring Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Appleton.
This role plays an important part in helping our organization grow by identifying, attracting, and hiring compassionate individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors throughout our community. The Recruiting & Hiring Specialist helps ensure we continue to build a strong, dependable workforce by guiding candidates through the hiring process and helping new employees begin their journey with our organization.

Position Overview
The Recruiting & Hiring Specialist manages the hiring process from start to finish, including creating job postings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and assisting with the onboarding of new employees. This role works closely with leadership to ensure open positions are filled with qualified and dependable candidates who align with our mission and values.
In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this position supports the onboarding experience by assisting with New Hire Orientations and ensuring new employees feel welcomed, informed, and prepared for their roles.
The Recruiting & Hiring Specialist will also represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, and career fairs at local businesses, colleges, and high schools, helping introduce potential candidates to career opportunities within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for open positions.
- Develop and maintain job postings across multiple recruitment platforms.
- Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Assist with extending job offers and guiding candidates through the hiring process.
New Hire Orientation & Onboarding
- Assist with coordinating and facilitating New Hire Orientation sessions.
- Help introduce new employees to company policies, culture, and expectations.
- Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a positive and successful start.
Hiring Events & Outreach
- Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, and career fairs.
- Participate in recruiting events at local businesses, colleges, and high schools.
- Promote career opportunities and help introduce potential candidates to the caregiving profession.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of candidates and hiring activity within the applicant tracking system.
- Ensure hiring practices follow applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with tracking recruitment metrics, including applicant sources and time-to-fill.
Qualifications
- Experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, or related fields preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple open positions in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using recruiting platforms and applicant tracking systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with leadership teams
