This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Post Anesthesia Care Unit, tasked with delivering specialized nursing care to patients recovering from cardiothoracic, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, upholding professional accountability, and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Applicants should possess a minimum of one year of ICU experience, a valid RN license, and relevant certifications such as Basic Life Support.

Employing the nursing process, you will provide comprehensive patient care while maintaining accountability for the care of assigned patients. You will assess the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers and collaborate with various departments to coordinate patient care. It is essential to uphold patient rights and maintain the confidentiality of patient information. All duties should align with our mission, values, and service standards.
Position Details:
Department: Cardiovascular PACU (CVPACU)
Department Information: The CV PACU specializes in the care of patients recovering from various cardiothoracic, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures.
Shift: Three 12-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, plus on-call duties and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, adhering to all state board of nursing regulations.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of ICU experience is required.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the specific position or unit, or must be acquired within the designated timeframe.
