Position Type: 1-year contract with possible extension
Summary: An entry‐level to early‐career land professional who supports land administration, lease maintenance, contract analysis, and ownership verification in Oil & Gas industry.. Land Analysts routinely research ownership, obligations, lease terms, and title status.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist land teams with acquiring and maintaining oil & gas leases and E&P contracts.
- Research and analyze leases, contracts, and obligations to determine working interest and net revenue interest for new wells, recompletions, and workovers.
- Prepare, update, and distribute reports utilizing Quorum Land System and/or Business Objects.
- Gather, validate, and analyze data for lease obligations, contract compliance, and internal reporting.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Operations, Development, Legal, OBO partners, and other internal groups.
- Support land-related decisions by identifying issues, researching solutions, and presenting accurate findings.
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in land, land administration, contract analysis, or a related oil & gas discipline.
- Intermediate-level understanding of lease terms, E&P contracts, WI/NRI concepts, and land processes.
- Ability to identify problems and develop potential solutions within well-defined parameters.
- Strong research, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Experience working with Quorum Land System, Business Objects, or similar land/contract databases (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing legal/contract documents.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED with minimum 3-5 years of related experience in Oil & Gas related role
Schedule: 5 Days On/2 Days Off (8Hr Days)
