Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented SolidWorks Drafter to support our small but growing manufacturing company in a niche market. The successful candidate will create and maintain SolidWorks submittal and shop drawings based on sales quotations, customer specifications, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to create and maintain accurate shop drawings, designs, and technical details.

Ensure all customer-facing drawings reflect the project quote, customer design intent, and applicable codes.

Work closely with Purchasing and Production staff as a contributing member of the design team, maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Review customer markups to confirm alignment with quoted specifications, company capabilities, and project budgets.

Communicate with customers via phone and email to gather or clarify project information as needed.
What You’ll Bring

A strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Proficiency in SolidWorks.

Clear, respectful, and effective communication skills.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations including basic math, algebra, and geometry.

Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, architectural millwork, manufacturing processes, or construction (preferred).

Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as specifications, production schedules, quotes, and purchase orders.

Daily working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
