Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $47,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Accurately document and record all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and generating shipping documents.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup and ensure timely dispatch.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely.
- Organize and maintain the receiving and shipping areas for efficiency and safety.
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors regarding shipment status.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift or other warehouse equipment (certification may be required).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Bonus Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with hazardous material shipping regulations
