This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students with special needs in a contract role based in Reading, PA. With three openings available, the position offers a 35-hour workweek and runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026, aligning with the school calendar. Candidates must present proof of active Pennsylvania Special Education licensure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, monitor, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with Pennsylvania regulations
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams, families, and support staff to foster student growth
- Maintain detailed documentation and uphold strong classroom management practices
- Utilize Microsoft Office and instructional technology to enhance learning outcomes
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Special Education Certification (required)
- Proven experience in IEP development and implementation
- Solid classroom management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
