Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a dynamic school setting. Based in Brewer, ME, the role involves working with a diverse student population ranging from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting their communication development and helping them achieve academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students with varying caseloads, typically between 10-15 individuals
  • Assess, treat, and monitor speech, language, and communication disorders across a breadth of age groups
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Travel between multiple school sites as required to meet caseload needs
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress reports according to district and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or certification
  • Experience working in school environments with students from pre-kindergarten through high school
  • Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for a variety of speech and language disorders
  • Ability to manage caseloads independently and collaborate effectively with educational teams
  • Must be able to provide services on-site; teletherapy is not an option for this role

Position Details:

  • Location: Brewer, ME
  • Contract duration: July 1, 2025 June 30, 2026
  • Schedule: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • Caseload distribution may require travel between multiple school sites
