Russell Tobin and Associates is seeking a Billing Phone Support Specialist for our global insurance client working onsite in Wausau, WI .

Job Title: Billing Phone Support Specialist - Healthcare
Pay: $21.00/hr. to $22.60/hr. (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Days
Location: Wausau, WI 54401
Contract Duration: 6 month contract, possible extension

About the Role:
Join our dedicated Retiree Billing team as a Phone Support Specialist to assist our client’s membership team during the critical Open Enrollment period. You’ll play a key role in helping approximately 15,000–20,000 members enroll in their 2026 benefits, understand cost estimates, navigate Medicare eligibility, and access essential resources like ID cards and vendor contact information.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling inbound calls from members regarding benefits enrollment and billing inquiries
  • Providing cost estimates and guidance on Medicare eligibility requirements
  • Assisting members with ID cards, vendor contact details, and general support
  • Processing returned mail and working reports for various business partners
  • Managing and resolving death claims with sensitivity and accuracy
  • Ensuring timely and professional communication with members


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage high call volumes with professionalism and empathy


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Medicare billing
  • Familiarity with retiree benefits and enrollment processes
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with sensitive member data
