Role: Electrical Engineer
Location: Pelzer, SC
Role Overview
Design and support UPS systems and electrical switchgear solutions, while leading technical presales activities and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop UPS subsystems/components and electrical concepts.
- Support presales for medium/low voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, and control panels.
- Create single-line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.
- Analyze and optimize power electronic systems (performance, components, control strategies).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (embedded, mechanical, test engineers).
- Ensure compliance with IEC, ANSI, UL, and IEEE standards.
- Improve existing designs and resolve application issues.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies in R&D.
- Prepare technical documentation and meet project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics preferred).
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, converters, and semiconductor devices.
- Experience with design tools like AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar.
Preferred Skills
- PCB design and layout experience.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance.
- Experience in UPS or power module development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
