Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Project Type: Contract Assignment
Shift Hours: 5x8 – Days, Evenings, Nights (Every Other Weekend)
Pay Range: $30–33/hour
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203, United States
Duration: 3 Months with chances of extension
Project Description:
Supported long-term care and nursing home operations by delivering direct patient care in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards. Provided clinical support across multiple shifts in a paper-documentation environment, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivered hands-on nursing care to residents in an LTC/Nursing Home setting
Monitored patient conditions, reported changes, and assisted with treatment plans
Administered medications and treatments as ordered and documented accurately
Assisted patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living
Communicated effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintained compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Handled and disposed of hazardous waste and materials per policy
Operated and cleaned medical equipment as required
Followed all Kingsbrook/Rutland policies and procedures related to patient care and safety
Required Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience (preferred)
Long-Term Care / Nursing Home experience (required)
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
or completion of an equivalent approved professional nursing program
Licenses & Certifications:
Current New York State (NYS) LPN License (required)
