MTS Customs is growing, and we are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Licensed Customs Broker to join our team.
This role is critical to ensuring accurate classification, timely entry filings, and full U.S. Customs compliance across a diverse portfolio of imports.
Key Responsibilities
- Classify commodities and prepare/submit U.S. Customs entries accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with all CBP regulations and trade requirements
- Maintain and monitor import compliance procedures
- Liaise directly with U.S. Customs and regulatory agencies
- Support customers with technical guidance and issue resolution
- Maintain Power of Attorney records and documentation integrity
- Prepare internal reporting and compliance documentation
- Stay current on regulatory updates and industry changes
This is a hands-on role with real impact on operations and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of customs brokerage experience
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding and customs entry processes
- Solid knowledge of ports, global trade lanes, and world geography
- Detail-driven, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
