Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG tests on inpatients and outpatients, including bedside and neonates in the nursery.
- Prepares patient for EEG or EKG test, including giving instructions to make the test effective, applying electrodes, and affixing to appropriate body position.
- Prepares EKG tracing and looks up any previous patients' records for cardiologist review.
- Maintains daily ledger of EEG/EKG tests given.
- Explains the procedure to the patient and obtain patient's history for the exam.
- Assists neurologist with EEG/EMG procedures.
- Plans and organizes work, defines assignments, and carries out assignments effectively.
- Performs clerical duties and other duties, as needed
Qualifications
- Associates degree - EEG Certification program
- 1 -3 Years of experience is highly desired
- EEG Certification is required
- CPR Certification (BLS)
- EKC Certification highly desirable
