Job Title: Hand Weaver – Production and Assembly
Job Description
This temp-to-permanent role focuses on general production and assembly of precision products used in the aerospace and defense industry. You will work in a collaborative, social environment performing detailed, repetitive tasks while standing for most of your shift. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written and verbal work instructions, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform general production and mechanical assembly tasks to create components and preforms used in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in all products.
- Work in small teams of 2–3 people within a larger group of up to 80 employees to complete daily production goals.
- Carry out repetitive motion work and detailed hand weaving tasks while maintaining focus and precision throughout the shift.
- Stand and work on your feet for 8–10 hours per day, including participating in frequent stretch breaks.
- Assist with packaging and general labor tasks related to production and assembly as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following cleanroom and manufacturing best practices as required.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality by consistently meeting scheduled shift times and production expectations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to identify and resolve issues that may affect quality or throughput.

- Experience or comfort in production, assembly, or manufacturing environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
- Experience in mechanical assembly, packaging, or general labor.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or clean manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or other precision manufacturing is a plus.
- Willingness to work different shifts, including first and second shift schedules.

Work Environment
The facility features a large, bright, open production space with a team of up to 80 people working together in small groups of 2–3 to assemble aerospace and defense components. The atmosphere is social, with music playing and frequent stretch breaks built into the day to support comfort and well-being. Work involves cleanroom-style practices in a manufacturing environment, using hand tools and performing detailed mechanical and hand weaving assembly tasks. Multiple shift options are available, including first shift schedules such as Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Thursday 5:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Thursday 6:00am–4:30pm, and Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm with Friday 7:00am–1:00pm, as well as a second shift option of Monday–Friday 3:30pm–1:30am. Employees should be prepared to stand for most of the shift and to work in a consistent, production-focused environment with a casual, team-oriented feel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
