Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Partner with operations and plant leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production variances.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate cost data and insightful variance analysis.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff in daily operations and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
