Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This special education teaching opportunity is available at a K-12 school in Hopkins, MN, for the current school year through June 12, 2026. This onsite contract position offers the chance to support a caseload of approximately 22 students requiring individualized instruction and support services aligned with their IEP goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students unique academic, social, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborating closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student growth.
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet IEP objectives.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license.
- Endorsement in SLD (Specific Learning Disability), EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disorder), or ABS (Applied Behavior Specialist), with ABS considered a last option.
- Proven experience working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with staff and families effectively.
