Position Summary
The Public Relations (PR) Coordinator plays a key role in shaping Liberty Group’s public image and strengthening its community presence. This position is responsible for leading event and community involvement strategies, supporting media relations, and managing initiatives that elevate Liberty Group’s brand reputation across markets.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented communicator who thrives on relationship-building, storytelling, and delivering experiences that align with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Event & Community Engagement
- Develop and execute community engagement strategies that build brand awareness and strengthen relationships with local organizations and professional networks.
- Plan and coordinate events—including referral events, dinner seminars, workshops, and sponsorships—from concept through execution.
- Identify and evaluate partnership and sponsorship opportunities aligned with Liberty Group’s brand and growth goals.
- Collaborate with advisors and the marketing team to maximize event attendance, visibility, and impact.
Public Relations & Brand Management
- Support media outreach, press releases, and community storytelling to enhance Liberty Group’s visibility and reputation.
- Monitor and manage public perception through proactive communication and media tracking.
- Maintain consistent branding, voice, and compliance standards across all public-facing initiatives and materials.
Media Relations
- Cultivate relationships with local media, journalists, and industry publications.
- Pitch firm leaders for interviews, features, and op-eds that highlight Liberty Group’s expertise and community leadership.
- Track and report on media coverage and PR performance metrics.
Referral Program Management
- Coordinate and maintain Liberty Group’s client referral program to drive engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
- Track participation and identify opportunities to strengthen visibility and participation.
- Support referral-focused communications and events to foster strong client relationships.
Guest Appearances
- Manage inbound and outbound guest requests for Liberty Group’s radio and podcast channels, including Protect Your Assets and The Clear Cut.
- Oversee logistics, scheduling, and communication between hosts, guests, and production teams.
- Prepare guests with key talking points and background materials for a seamless, brand-aligned experience.
Strategic Communications
- Develop and maintain the annual PR and community engagement calendar in alignment with firm campaigns and milestones.
- Identify and craft storytelling opportunities showcasing Liberty Group’s thought leadership, community impact, and client stories.
- Prepare talking points, bios, and background materials for executives and advisors.
Partnership & Sponsorship Management
- Recommend and coordinate strategic sponsorships and philanthropic initiatives aligned with Liberty Group’s values.
- Manage sponsorship deliverables and brand representation to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate ROI and audience reach of sponsorships and community partnerships.
Content & Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing to develop press materials, event recaps, and community content for digital and print use.
- Support internal communications and culture initiatives, highlighting achievements and community involvement.
- Coordinate photography, videography, and media assets for events and public relations efforts.
Measurement & Reporting
- Track and report key PR, event, and community engagement metrics.
- Provide regular summaries of outcomes, insights, and recommendations for optimization.
- Maintain a centralized database of community partners, sponsorships, and media mentions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in PR, events, or brand/community management (financial services experience a plus).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating events, sponsorships, or community partnerships.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, social media, and press tools preferred.

Working Conditions
- Part-time position - update to 29 hours per week.
- Some travel in the Greater Bay Area required.
- Some night and weekend availability required.
- Possible hybrid schedule after 90 days of employment.
