POSITION SUMMARY


Designs, manages and performs within a design team in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the Interior Design process including preparation of materials, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, rendering and construction of administration activities within an established budget with specific scheduling, site and programmatic requirements.


A Senior Designer supports parts of a project or entire projects depending upon the scope in conjunction with team leadership.

Requirements:

EDUCATION


Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA accredited or NAAB-accredited program


EXPERIENCE


4+ years


GENERAL SKILLS

  • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Complete comprehensive project tasks efficiently in a prescribed time frame with moderate feedback
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with outside vendors and consultants

JOB REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Intermediate experience with construction materials and FF&E specifications/providers
  • Intermediate experience in project design specifications, construction documentation, production, material selection and shop drawing review
  • Intermediate graphic skills in AutoCAD (current release preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Intermediate understanding of specification writing (SPEXX experience preferred)
  • Intermediate understanding and knowledge of design principals, theories, color and materials
  • Perform Quality Control exercises on one’s own work
  • Able to complete project tasks in accordance with project schedules
  • Understand hotel brand structures
