Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Lakeland, FL 33609. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 13 weeks contract Contract
Specific Duties:
- Perform duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice
- Operate diagnostic equipment (no test interpretation)
- Perform EKGs and quality control checks on equipment
- Collect specimens via noninvasive techniques
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Remove staples from superficial wounds
- Change wound dressings and obtain cultures
- Administer non-intravenous medications
- Room patients and prepare them for examinations
- Accurately document patient information in the medical record
- Coordinate patient care per physician direction and company policies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
- (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills
