Our medical client is seeking an experienced Billing and Collections Specialist to support the financial success of the facility through accurate and efficient revenue cycle management. This role plays a vital part in billing, claims processing, reimbursement, and patient financial communication. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare business office knowledge and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely billing of facility claims across all payer types and admission sources.
• Audit claims for correct coding, documentation, and authorization prior to submission.
• Complete all required claim edits and submit clean claims to the clearinghouse.
• Monitor daily clearinghouse activity, claim holds, and payer websites for updates.
• Interpret payer contracts to confirm reimbursement aligns with contracted rates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare/medical experience (billing and collections).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally with patients, payers, and internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, patient accounting systems, and basic math.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and payer requirements.
