Surgical Technologist (CST)
Direct Hire | Full‑Time | Days + Call
A community‑based acute care hospital is seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical services in a modern operating room environment. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field, providing sterile instruments and supplies, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures.
The Surgical Technologist works closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality surgical care for patients across the lifespan.
Position Overview:
- Permanent, full‑time direct‑hire role
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift schedule with on‑call rotation
- Acute care operating room setting
Shift Details:
- Monday – Friday
- Day shifts
- On‑call rotation required
Compensation & Incentives:
- Hourly range: $30.00 – $33.49

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of surgeons and the surgical team.
- Assist with positioning, draping, and preparing patients for surgery.
- Ensure proper handling, counting, and disposal of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Follow infection control policies and safety standards.
- Provide care and assistance to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Accurately document surgical case details as required.
- Support efficient room turnover and case flow.
Qualifications:
Education & Training
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program (Preferred), OR
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical scrub experience with related clinical training (e.g., LPN, Military)
Experience
- At least 2 years of operating room or surgical scrub experience
Licensure & Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) required within 30 days of hire
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification (Preferred)
- If applicable, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Minnesota must be maintained
