Job DescriptionAutomation Engineer Position Overview:
We are a leading manufacturer's representative firm specializing in water and wastewater treatment, transfer, and control equipment. With decades of expertise and a reputation for excellence, we serve municipalities, industrial clients, and engineering firms across the region. We're seeking a talented and driven Automation Engineer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and commission PLC and SCADA systems for water/wastewater applications
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to develop automation solutions tailored to project needs
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems to improve performance and reliability
- Prepare technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, control narratives, and O&M manuals
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in water/wastewater systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI/SCADA platforms
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, control panels, and process control
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
