Position Purpose & Job Duties:

At Blossom Children’s Center, we provide the highest quality therapy services to children impacted by autism spectrum disorders, as well as their families. By bringing together a team of highly qualified, supported, and passionate professionals that utilize evidence-based interventions and curriculum, we improve the lives of the families we serve.

Each employee at Blossom will be a part of a collaborative team that values each member. As a Speech Therapist, you will be trained and perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct and report on Speech Therapy assessments for pediatric clients and
    design intervention treatment plans in early intervention setting
  • Conduct and report on individualized Speech Therapy interventions focused
    on developmentally appropriate skills
  • Collaborate on Speech Therapy interventions progress and goals with
    parents/guardians, OTs, as BCBAs as needed.
  • Assist in regular coaching and support to direct care staff implementing
    treatment protocols throughout a client’s ABA day within a clinic setting
  • Write progress reports on individualized Speech Therapy treatment plans
    (every 60 days) for each client
  • Complete re-evaluations yearly to document progress and continued
    eligibility
  • Provide oversight to cases, staff and family to make sure all company policies
    are followed, and that treatment is provided according to ethical and best
    standards of practice
  • Provide home programming and parent training/coaching as applicable on a
    case-by-case basis
  • Comply with organization, state and federal regulations set forth to include
    professional development, safety training, and confidentiality policies
  • Work collaboratively with other therapists, providers, administrators, and
    school staff for effective programs and follow the specified program routines
    and schedules
  • Uphold a positive attitude and conduct yourself in a professional and ethical
    manner at all times
  • Participate in weekly professional meetings and team meetings including
    companywide trainings as designated by supervisor and organization

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with at least 1-2 years’ experience providing direct therapy to pediatric clientele, implementing assessments, developing intervention plans, and working on collaborative teams.
  • Dedicated and energetic individual with a genuine interest in improving the outcomes of children with autism and other challenges.
  • Must maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.
  • No past criminal history.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a team of professionals in a clinical environment
  • Certification and/or training in Child-Led interventions pertaining to Gestalt Language Processing, DIR/Floortime, AAC devices, PROMPT training
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers
  • Familiarity with documentation on Central Reach
