On-Site Staffing Services
On-Site Staffing Services is seeking Steel Stud Framers to join our client’s team in Lake Mills, WI. This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on construction work.
Pay Rate: $26+/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 1st Shift (Typically 8 hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed)
Job Description
Perform steel stud framing for residential and commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Install framing components, including tracks, studs, and sheathing, to specified standards.
- Follow the interior and exterior framing instructions and layout from the foreman.
- Ask questions to clarify the scope of work and report discrepancies immediately.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ensure framing components are square, plumb, and meet quality standards.
- Operate safely and follow all safety guidelines (Suburban, OSHA, and general contractor standards).
- Maintain company tools and report any maintenance needs.
- Communicate equipment or material needs to the foreman.
- Complete all framing work thoroughly, both interior and exterior.
Experience / Skills / Training
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
- English proficiency is a plus; Spanish speakers welcome (translator available).
- Steel stud framing experience required.
- Knowledge of materials, tools, and methods used in drywall or insulation work.
- Gas and powder-actuated tool certified.
- Basic power tool knowledge.
- Aerial lift/scissor lift certified.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
- Courteous, reliable, and professional demeanor.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions typical of construction sites.
