Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver critical care in a fast-paced emergency room setting, providing direct, patient-centered nursing care to a dynamic and diverse population. This contract position requires the use of clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing interventions that ensure safe and effective outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to deliver holistic care during assigned shifts
- Assess patient conditions, document nursing actions, and evaluate responses accurately
- Collaborate closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and established protocols
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
- Supervise LPNs and non-licensed personnel to ensure quality clinical practice
- Maintain competency through ongoing education and protocol adherence
- Float between departments or local units within a 20-mile radius as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Emergency Room experience
- Successful completion of an onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test is mandatory; candidates have two attempts to pass before contract cancellation
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative approach
- Flexibility to work various shifts and float between departments
