Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist with certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) is needed to provide comprehensive services in a K-12 school setting in Hopewell, VA. This role serves students across PreK-12th grades, managing a caseload of 35-45 clients spread across three schools on one campus and an additional private school. The position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering assessment and therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborating with educators and families to support individualized education plans
- Providing teletherapy and onsite services as needed
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participating in team meetings to coordinate care and educational support
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with pediatric caseloads and teletherapy delivery
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently across different school environments
