Job DescriptionSalary: $28-36/hour DOE

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating day-to-day manufacturing and production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products that meet customer expectations. Acting as the liaison between production teams and the sales department, this role ensures communication flows seamlessly from customer requirements to production execution. The Manufacturing Manager collaborates closely with the COO to align daily operations with strategic objectives, identify process improvements, and ensure consistent production standards across all departments and facilities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates operational discipline, and can balance people, process, and performance to drive results.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and supervise production leads, operators, and support staff to achieve production goals. (6-8 direct reports)
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to ensure team members understand expectations and meet performance standards.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established processes.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure alignment with sales orders, customer deadlines, and resource availability.
  • Monitor production output, materials usage, and labor performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Partner with quality control and engineering to maintain product standards and address nonconformities.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between production and sales teams to ensure clear communication of customer requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure seamless material flow and order fulfillment.
  • Communicate potential delays or issues proactively to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Track and analyze production metrics such as efficiency, throughput, downtime, and scrap.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement sustainable solutions that enhance operational performance.
  • Recommend process enhancements, equipment upgrades, or workflow changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide regular operational updates and production reports to the COO.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company-specific safety standards.
  • Lead and participate in safety meetings, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard-free production environment.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting production targets while improving safety, quality, and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $28-$36/hour DOE

Hours: Anticipated 6:00 am - 3:00 pm or 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
